Started in 1995, the Pussy Cat Dolls are a pop group from the United States. They did not start out as a pop group, however; they started as a burlesque group and then became a musical group. The musical group began in 2003 before they began Reality T.V. Programs and other activities including a Los Vegas Act. Their debut album, "PCD," debuted at number five on the charts. Their song, "Don't Cha" became a number one single on the charts. Their second album was released in September 2008 and is growing in popularity.

Some famous names that were a part of the burlesque group called the Pussycat Dolls are: Carmen Electra, Carmit Bachar, Cyia Batten, Staci Flood, Christina Applegate, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stafani and Kim Kardashian. As part of the recording group there were Carmit Bachar, Cyia Batten, Kasey Campbell, Kaya Jones and Asia Nitollano. It all began when Anton invited some girlfriends over and they began playing around with some choreography in Anton’s garage. Gwen Stefani came to one of their shows and decided that she would do a guest spot. This gave them more notoriety and their careers took off as the Pussycat Dolls.

Carmit Bachar was a member of the Pussycat Dolls for the longest amount of time. She was born on September 4 1974, and was a main vocalist of the Pussycat Dolls. She is very involved in an organization that helps people who were born with a facial deformity. She was actually born with a cleft palate, and instructs people on the importance of inner beauty versus outer beauty. Her project, "Operation Smile" had a medical mission over in Bolivia to help children there.

The Pussycat Dolls started as a dance team, and continued on to be successful as a musical group. They worked well together, and it was obvious the amount of care they felt towards each other as it was reflected in both their dance and music. Carmit was the member that remained with them the longest and made a name for herself through her performances. She has since gone on to work with Macy Grey, and she is expected to release a new album in the near future. All of the Pussycat Dolls have found fame in one degree or another, and have been a force in the music and dance industry. Together, they have made the word "burlesque" a household word again.
