what is rock and what isn’t?
Yesterday i posted a question where i asked people to put in order of preference the following groups which i defined as "rock groups" U2,coldpaly,oasis and one republic.
The vast majority wrote "those are not rock bands" others(a minority) said that of course they were and they explained that "Rock"is a vast genre and it includes various types of music like punk rock,metal rock, glam rock etc...
i am convinced that the bands i mentioned are rock bands.
What do you think?

Rock Bands vs Hip Hop?
I am an avid rap listener, and I would like to expand my horizons and listen to a new genre. I would like to listen to rock. The only rock song I know so far is Oasis Wonderwall. I like it, and I want rock bands that are similar to their style. Give me bands or songs. Thx.
