You’re the one who watched it. Quit complaining, you’re just whining to bitch. I’m not a fan of their new music and watching this was certainly not a waste of time. Whiners suck!
Phil Collins is a good musician – excellent singer and an even better drummer – one of the best in the business. You might not like his music but millions and millions of people would disagree with you. Liking Phil Collins’ music doesn’t mean you can’t take somebody’s musical taste seriously! What a dumb, arrogant statement.

dark99 – the numbers are amazing, no question, but does quantity equal quality? It’s up to you what you want to listen to and if you enjoy this, then that’s all that matters. U2’s huge fan base has always been a mystery to me and I guess it always will. Help me out here? What is it that is so appealing about this? No seriously, I wonder what makes this band stand out in so many people’s opinion.

and for people who dont understand why U2 has a bazillion fans, the answer is simple: Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. Two albums, amongst the greatest of all time. Consult any list or critic you want. Just sit down and listen to those two and if you dont become a huge fan, then at least you can hate U2 in peace knowing that you tried to understand the biggest band since the beatles
Bono needs to reign in his ego and stop trying to put a spin on all of their songs. Singing extra notes when not called for ruins songs. Check out how badly he butchered With or Without You… that song she be sung exactly as written. An extra verse is OK, but he needs to stop showboating. He’s not a good enough singer to pull it off. Otherwise good show boys!
well-said. And I think they’ve done a remarkable job since those two albums as well, especially this latest album “No Line on the Horizon”. I think that they’re the first rock band in history to basically keep improving with age. The thing is that the world and rock critics in particular are still not willing to accept that a rock band can keep getting better and better, and thus people always refer back to The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby as the two genius albums that will never be topped..

if and when they do top those two albums, I’m not sure many people will be willing or able to realize it, but it is hard to deny how increasingly amazing their live shows and their ability to inspire the world are. God bless ‘em.
and watch them live. its just out of this world. this recording seems really hollow compared to actually watching it live. its just the most amazing musical experience I have ever had.
